A team of researchers created a virtual fossil that may have put a face to the last ancestor common to humans and neanderthals. They combined 3D scans of several fossil skulls and modern human skulls and applied advanced digital ‘morphometrics’ and a series of algorithms to them.

The tech (and tennis balls) behind Tom Hardy’s double turn
