Bill AB 1839: The California Film and Television Job Retention and Promotion Act

On July 1, 2015 bill AB 1839: The California Film and Television Job Retention and Promotion Act will take effect.

The bill expands eligibility to: 1. All features of any budget size (minimum budget of $1 million), with qualified expenditures limited to $100 million; 2. New TV shows of at least 40 minutes shown on any platform (minimum episode budget of $1 million); 3. Pilots for a new TV series of at least 40 minutes (minimum budget of $1 million).
